Andrew Jenkins - Helping companies grow revenue by embracing Social Media and Social Selling

Andrew Jenkins is a Toronto based Social Selling and Social Media Expert.

I was introduced to Andrew by Peter Goral, VP Business Development at TechBlocks, a Toronto based Technology Consultant.

About Andrew Jenkins

Andrew Jenkins’ entrepreneurial adventures began when he launched an e-commerce company selling apparel in 1995 B.G. (before Google) and before credit card transactions over the Internet were commonplace.

Since then he has spent the last nearly twenty years working in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) spanning social media, wireless, and e-business. Over his career, Andrew has worked with a diverse list of companies in North America and Europe, including Rogers; Bell Canada; InfoSpace; Compaq; and Microsoft.

He has provided social media strategy and social selling services to numerous mid to large enterprises. His past experience includes consulting to Royal Bank of Canada as Head of Social Media Strategy. 

Before his work in technology, he was active in the film and television industry. In addition to working on a variety of commercials and television projects, he also produced a film exhibited at TIFF as well as internationally at the Sydney and Melbourne Film Festivals. The film was also broadcast on Channel 4 in the UK and SBS-TV in Australia.

He holds a BA in Economics from Laurentian University, a BFA in Film Production from York University, and an MBA from the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto. He also teaches entrepreneurship at OCAD University and Digital Strategy at the University of Toronto’s School of Continuing Studies.

Andrew helps companies avoid the ups and downs of social media campaigns and broadcast marketing by focusing on the “operationalization” of social media and social selling and the ongoing efforts required to turn an organization into a social enterprise.

Andrew regularly speaks about social media, reputation management, building a social enterprise, and social selling.

He has presented at the Queen’s and Schulich Schools of Business, the Rotman School of Management, PodCamp, the Property and Casualty Insurance Crystal Ball, the Digital Marketing for Financial Services Summit, SocialHRCamp, Enterprise Toronto, and the nextMedia conference to name a few.
