Positive Psychology Canada Conference July 20 & 21 2012
The Positive Psychology Canada Conference will be held July 20 & 21, 2012 in Toronto, Ontario. I am going and I HIGHLY recommend that if you live in Ontario, you should consider attending.
I interviewed Lisa Sansom for my Journey To Success Radio show. Although her call dropped about 39 minutes into the call, the content of the interview was exciting and informative.
Lisa is the owner of LVS Consulting, an independent consulting firm that helps to build positive organizations. Lisa coaches, speaks and consults from a basis of positive psychology. She works with individuals, leaders, teams and entire organizational units providing services such as individual and leadership coaching, team facilitation, effective communications training, Appreciative Inquiry and change management consulting. Clients include a variety of organizations, such as crown corporations, private industry, and educational institutions.
As an ICF-accredited coach, her clients include managers and leaders, as well as aspiring leaders, who seek to improve their positive impact in the organizations where they work. Additionally, Lisa has conducted team facilitation from the executive level, assisting with visioning and strategizing, to the functional team level, helping to uncover team issues and to develop and implement action plans.
Lisa is the business book reviewer for Your Workplace magazine, Canada’s authority on work/life issues. She authored a highly successful series on The Change Cycle™, which became the most-requested reprint series in the history of the publication. She also authored a five-part series on Appreciative Inquiry, and has spoken at the magazine’s annual conference.
In her volunteer time, Lisa is the 2012 Conference Chair for the Canadian Positive Psychology Association, and is an active Board member. She is also the VP of the MAPP (Master of Applied Positive Psychology) Alumni Association.
On Friday evening the Positive Psychology Canada Conference will be showing the Happy Movie followed by a facilitated discussion by Robert Biswas Diener who will be joining us via telecast.
