Stephen DeKuyper is the new Chaplain at King-Bay Chaplaincy (KBC) located in downtown Toronto, in the Financial district.
KBC is a marketplace Ministry created to provide hope and help for people living and working in downtown Toronto. On any given day, there are more than half of a million people within a 1 km radius of their office.
I interviewed Stephen DeKuyper for my Journey To Success Radio show. The show will air on Wednesday, May 7th at 4:00pm EST.
Stephen is originally from Canada and worked in the commercial real estate industry for 20 years, with stints in Toronto, Hong Kong, Beijing and Shanghai.
With an undergraduate degree in Economics from McGill University in hand, he returned to school in 2010 and received his Masters of Divinity degree from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2013. He is continuing on in PhD studies, also at Southern, majoring in Ethics with a particular focus on business ethics and the purpose of a company from a Christian perspective.
He had originally planned to return to China, but instead felt called to move back to Toronto to minister to business people, professionals and white collar workers in the Financial District. His is blessed to be serving as a bi-vocational church planter with Toronto Church Planting and as the Chaplain at King Bay Chaplaincy.
KBC endeavors to be of great benefit to those who attend our programs by helping them to have a positive attitude and better ethics at work and at home.
These are exceptionally difficult times in the Canadian marketplace. KBC is able to offer counseling with Chaplains that are uniquely aware of the specific stresses and pressures related to working in this time. These services are offered free to those who use them. If you are someone who has lost their job or had a drastic decrease in income, you can still receive advice, comfort and counsel at no cost.
The King Bay Chaplaincy endeavors to address some of the problems faced in today’s workplace as well as provide positive resources in facing workplace challenges.
