The Only Advice You Need About Happiness is …

I need to first add a disclaimer that acknowledges I (try to) understand that sometimes it is very difficult to just "get happy". I have loved ones who struggle with depression, please know it is not my intention to dishonour anybody. ... I simply wrote this post to encourage others to find moments of happiness in their own (strange) places.

Here goes…

Pour yourself a glass of wine, close your eyes and smell it for a while before you take a sip. I mean, really smell it.It tastes better.

~Throw away nasty socks and underwear. Now.Nobody wants to see that and you shouldn’t either.

~When your kids want to cuddle, forget about what has to be done and cuddle already.Someday soon they won’t want to anymore.

~When you kiss someone, look into their eyes as you lean in.It makes the kiss more sensuous & it speaks volumes.

~Decide to be a light for others. Just decide. And then be THAT.~If you have bad breath, take care of that sh#!.

~Get over yourself already; we’ve all been treated poorly. You’ll be ok.

~Make your home smell wonderful. Don’t underestimate the power your olfactory senses have on your mood.

~When you are happy to see someone, show it. Don’t hold back for fear of the way you look. It feels incredible to know you have been missed.

~Forgive as quickly as you would like to be forgiven.~Be kind. Kindness costs nothing. Spread it around like fairy dust, just because you can.~If you’re going to be late, call. People want to know you respect their time.

Want to feel instantly more beautiful? Shave your legs and armpits and anything else you shave. Now touch it …feels great, right?

Find someone you absolutely love and trust and explore your sexual fantasies together.

Look at yourself in the mirror when you are in the middle of an “ugly cry”…then laugh your ass off.

Put your phone on airplane mode & get off the grid at least once a day for as long as you can. Exhale …ahh, freedom. It gets easier, trust me.

Every single person you admire has failed. Some have failed multiple times. You are among the greats.

When you need a hug, ask for one. Pride-schmide.~

.So, here are the only 3 things you need to know about happiness:

1. You decide what makes you happy.

2. Lose yourself in the moments that bring you joy.

3. Don’t ever(!!) wipe that silly grin off your face.

There you have it.

"Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, the mind can achieve." What if you read this each time you made a phone call, or texted, or received a call? Imagine the possibilities of auto-suggesting this into your mind hundreds of times per day.
