Don Green, Executive Director of the Napoleon Hill Foundation, was quoted in Investors Business Daily's online publication on July 17, 2013.
"He became a giant in the self-help industry," Don Green, executive director of the Napoleon Hill Foundation, told IBD. "I was privileged to become his friend, attend his seminars and read his best-selling books, like 'See You at the Top,' 'Top Performance' and 'Better Than Good.' Anyone who ever met him was impressed by his deep knowledge, humor and life skills."
"My story is proof that you can start anywhere and get to where you want to go," he wrote in "The Autobiography of Zig Ziglar."
He began to settle down mentally in 1954 after reading Norman Vincent Peale's "The Power of Positive Thinking.""His book taught me that though I am not always responsible for what happens to me, I am responsible for how I handle what happens to me," Ziglar wrote.

Keith Bodger, Zig, myself at Born To Win 3 day course in Texas.
One of the most exciting things that ever happened to me was Zig calling me by name at the World's Biggest Bookstore in Toronto. I was approaching his booth as he was there for a book signing and he said hello to me and used my name. You could have knocked me over with a feather. Zig met many, many people and for him to remember my name made a huge impression on me.
Another time, when Zig spoke in Ottawa, Ontario I met his son Tom, who was likely in his 20's at that time. Tom was selling product at the back of the room. We are about the same age and so I thought it was very cool to meet him.
My two favorite books of his are See You At The Top and Secrets of Closing The Sale. I have read each of them several times. I have also purchased and listened to every, or at least almost every, audio program he has ever released.
I loved that Zig was always vocal about his Christian faith. Many speakers shy away from the topic but Zig never did.
If you have never read a Zig Ziglar book or listened to one of his audio programs or seen him on video, do yourself a favor and do it. You will be blessed.
If you have read one of Zig's book or listened to one of his audio programs or seen one of his videos, like me, you will never forget this great man.
Also make sure to read Don Green's book Everything I Know About Success I Learned from Napoleon Hill. It is a really good book. I laughed out loud several times and learned a lot. That makes for a good book for me.
