Rene Godefroy - The Village Here

Rene Godefroy was born in a tiny, remote village in Haiti. He rose from extreme poverty and illness to become a world renowned speaker and author. I interviewed Rene for my BlogTalkRadio. I was encouraged, inspired, and blessed to speak with him and he shared some invaluable ideas that you need to hear.

His personal story of struggle, grit and perseverance exemplifies what it takes to embrace change and triumph over our challenges.

Rene is a big fan of Napoleon Hill and has spoken for the Napoleon Hill Foundation for an Open House kickoff.

Rene's Bio:

Born in a tiny and remote village in Haiti, Rene Godefroy was an impoverished child tormented by illnesses. As a child, he survived primarily on breadfruit and the occasional rare fish he caught with a string and hook.

He arrived in the US with only five dollars, two shirts and one pair of pants housed in a tattered briefcase. And, he did not speak any English. While many were complaining about their circumstances, Rene saw a huge opportunity to seize the American Dream.

Today, Rene is living the American Dream. He's one of America's most sought after motivational speakers. Top companies such as Aflac, Coca Cola, AT&T, and Verizon Wireless seek him out as the motivational speaker to help them boost morale. His motivational message is simple: No Condition is Permanent!

As a humanitarian, Rene's vision is to inspire millions in remote places that are living lives of resignation and quiet desperation.

Some of his accomplishments include:

  • Provided major companies like AT&T, Coca-Cola, and Charles Schwab with winning ideas to impact their bottom line.
  • Received national publicity on CBS’s 60 Minutes along with Colin Powell, Zig Zigglar and Anthony Robbins. He has also appeared on The Glenn Beck Show, Power Minute Syndication and Selling Power Audio Magazine.
  • The City of Smyrna dedicated an entire day to him, and Fort Lauderdale’s mayor presented him with the key to the city.
  • Spotlighted in feature articles in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the Miami Times, Fort Lauderdale’s Sun–Sentinel and in other print and radio media around the country.
  • Authored the hot-selling inspirational book, “No Condition is Permanent!” which advises people to relentlessly pursue personal growth and take the actions necessary to make their dreams come true.
  • Established Chief Executive Officer of Village Hero, Inc., a philanthropic, Atlanta-based company dedicated to raising money to help children in his native village and elsewhere in the Caribbean. Rene has begun organizing a medical clinic in Haiti and also plans to help start a school there.
