Also consider participating in one of the Society's Arthritis Self Management Program (ASMP)courses offered in communities across Canada.

I am a certified leader of the course and have seen first hand how the knowledge and, as important or more, the friendships that develop have helped people to live positively with chronic pain and arthritis.

The Chronic Pain Management is also very informative and helpful for those looking for ways to relieve the constant pain.

Check the Society website below for locations of workshops near you. Also consider volunteering at one of the many events held by the Society throughout the year. One of the best ways to help yourself deal with pain and the many other challenges that come with arthritis is to get out and help others. Try it and see for yourself. You never know who could benefit from your wisdom and knowledge about how to live positively with any of the over 100 forms of arthritis.
